Can you envision a church that is a family forged on the grace of Christ and lives to make Jesus famous? We hope so because that is what we desire of Reservoir. To that end we will keep encouraging community, reaching out to our neighbors with the gospel and care, and one day send teams to plant other churches in Southern California and beyond. Dive in, invest and see what the Lord will do with us!
Sunday we open Acts 6:1-7 and think about the ordinary work of the church, of caring for one another and how that is met with the extraordinary power of the gospel. The gospel is so powerful in fact that those far off and that hate the church can come to faith in Christ. Who knows how Jesus will use our ordinary work to reveal his extraordinary power. Let's see! 10 am Del Norte High School.
Special Needs Outreach- Join us this Sunday afternoon (November 12) as we visit Villa Bernardo and our friends that live there. We will huddle at 2 pm to share the love of Christ. Email janchan@gmail.com for more information.
Save the Date - The 2018 Student retreat planning is underway. January 19-20 students from Reservoir will join our friend from Grace Church La Mesa at Pine Valley for worship, the Word and a ton of fun. Plan to participate - all middle and high school students and parents! More info soon.
Advent at Reservoir - Beginning November 26 we will celebrate the arrival of our Savior as we reflect on the grace of his incarnation and how our lives are forever transformed by it. Our series will culminate with a family service on December 24 (10 am) where we will rejoice with holiday cheer. On December 31 we will have a "Remember and Reboot" Sunday or worship and prayer. Plan to join in.
Women's Advent Study - Ladies, take an opportunity to pause, reflect, and prepare your hearts to celebrate Jesus this Christmas season! An evening women's Bible study focusing on advent will start the week after Thanksgiving and last 4 weeks. Night of the week is TBD.
