How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. -Psalm 36:7

We have life and breath because of the steadfast love of God. Without a doubt, we have access and redemption in Christ because of love. In this love, we are protected, guarded, and nurtured.

The work of Christ on the cross has sealed that love, and us, for eternity. We are ever kept, come what may. We are secure in him and recipients of this love in wave after wave of grace.

As you go through your day, or as you rest in the wake of another long day, know that you have a shadowed refuge. The heat of sin and the world can't wreck you; you are a child of God. Rest in this.
