RBX: Poverty and Development

Situated near the Vietnamese border, the Daban Yao traditionally resided as farmers in remote mountains. They lived in acute poverty until local governments helped rebuild their villages and started tourism projects. The main attractions are their wine, five-colored rice, wedding rituals and the Abo festival.
