And some were convinced by what he said, but others disbelieved. -Acts 28:24
At the preaching of Paul, not everyone turns to Christ. He is testifying of the kingdom of God and trying to convince the crowds of Jesus from all of Scripture. Some were convinced and believed, but others disbelieved.
Let us take confidence in this that when we share the Gospel, some will be convinced, and others will go on disbelieving. It is not about skill or strategy but about the work of the Holy Spirit on hearts.
We can face the opportunities we have to share—not with trepidation, as if we are the final hope of humanity, but with confidence that the final hope of mankind, Jesus, is in control and calling whom he will to himself.
In this there is a freedom to throw a lot of seeds in the hope that some will grow as others water and God gives the growth (1 Cor. 3:5-9).
Be encouraged today. By your words and in light of your life, some will be convinced, and some will remain in disbelief. But Christ will be glorified.
