"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me." -Psalm 138:7
The true joy in this psalm is knowing Christ. In Christ, we have evidence of God's protection, the promise of his preserving power, and the forgiveness of sins. He has stretched out his hand to save us from the wrath we deserved.
By his grace, we are delivered from the darkness that dominated our lives and tries to tempt us today. Though we are in the thick of it, Jesus is with us and works for our good.
This is great news for us today. Come what trouble may, we have Christ as a secured anchor for us. How can you face difficulties today in the wake of this news? Do you know you are saved, forgiven, and freed in Jesus to live the life he has set before you? Have courage; be confident in Christ. Rest in him and live.
