Sunday we are set to study the second half of the Sermon on the Plain. Jesus gives the Kingdom way of living and we will figure out how to live it ourselves. Join us for worship at 10 am, 2437 S Centre City PKWY in Escondido.
Reservoir Disability | Disability Ministry needs your help! We are starting to prepare for an Easter event for our VIP families. Do you have plastic Easter eggs lying around that you'd like to donate? We'd love to take them off your hands and reuse them! We will also be looking for people to help fill the eggs with goodies. If you are able to help out either way, please contact Janice at disability@reservoir.church.
Second Sunday | Reservoir Youth (High and Middle School) will gather for lunch this Sunday at noon. RESVP to Jonathan or Stacy.
As one of their *most significant festivals*, the Zhuang annually celebrate the “San Yue San” festival. It literally means “the third of March” in their lunar calendar (around the beginning of April in the Western calendar). Young Zhuang in faraway places take days off to go home to prepare and participate in San Yue San activities with their families. Many villages and towns are filled with the singing of traditional mountain songs, and anyone walking into a Zhuang home would be warmly greeted with homemade multi-coloured sticky rice dyed with locally grown plants. But apart from the beautiful music and foods, what makes San Yue San so important to the Zhuang?
“From them will proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who celebrate; And I will multiply them and they will not be diminished; I will also honor them and they will not be insignificant.” Jeremiah 30:19
“This is the day the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
➔Pray that more and more Zhuang people will celebrate the Lord God.
