What do they believe?
Baiku Yao people traditionally believe that the universe consists of two parts: the "Ying World" and the "Yang World". They believe the Ghost Master (i.e. the Taoist priest) is the communicator between the two worlds.
In the Baiku Yao mind, the health of the body lies in the integrity of the body, and the incompleteness of the body is reflected in: 1) damage to the physical body; 2) detachment of the soul.
When there are health problems, the Baiku Yao rely on the ghost masters, who claim to know about heaven and earth and communicate with yin and yang. The Baiku Yao ask them to communicate with the gods and ghosts to restore their health.
